Whereas, Ministry of Defence, Government of India is intending to construct a new Defence Road for maintenance of National security and for public purpose along the Indo-Myanmar International Border in Mizoram, starting its junction from Thingsai and terminating to Saisihchhuah. Along the poroposed alignment, 14.025 km lies under the jurisdiction of the Lai Autonomous District Council area.
And whereas, the direction given by the Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai letter's No.R.12012/3/2024-DC(LTI), Dated Lawngtlai, the 19th June, 2025, the area lying within the proposed alignment has to be kept frozen and no fresh allotment of land is to be done.
Now therefore, it is notified for general information and compliance that, no person shall make any issue of land passes, upgradation of passes and any kind of mutation or create any kind of encumbrances of land in the propose alignment between 8.560 km to 22.675 km under the jurisdiction of the Lai Autonomous District Council area from the date of issue of this Notification until further order.
